rESPONSIBLE CONSUMPTION

About

My name is Anouk and I challange you to be the sparkle that makes a difference.

I started with goldsmithing pretty late. I wanted to make a change in my life and make something that matters. Since I was a child I always wanted to make things better and do good. So as a young women I traveled a lot, did volunteers work – and lived abroad. In my professional career, in healthcare, I was i.a. introduced to families and people that were physically- or mentally challenged.

All this made me see that there is so much unfairness and difficulties in this world. And that this is the time to take matters into our own hands and take action.

That’s what my brand is all about; all my designs are inspired by global issues and the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals, specifically Clean Water & Land, Equility and Sustainable Cities & Communities. With responsible consumption and production as a common thread.

My goal is to inspire people, to create awareness about the other side of this shiny world, speak up about it and take action. Don’t be shy…

Responsible Consumption & Production

Practice what I preach;

My jewelry is made of recycled gold or silver

My jewelry is made in Rotterdam with fair working/employment conditions

Small chemicals used in my studio during the making process are being disposed of in accordance with national requirements

Annual surplus profits of the turnover are i.a. re-invested in the process to increase development and sustainability

5% of the yearly revenue is going to be donated to the Plastic Soup Foundation

My Logo

My brand logo has 2 explanations;

1.

It is an isosceles triangle which stands for equality. For my brand it means the desire for equal treatment regardless of race, religion and country of origin. The vertical line that crosses the triangle means that this applies to both man (dash down) and woman (dash up) ;-).

2.

The three corners stand for the three sustainable development goals that inspire and shape my designs;

Clean Water & Land, Equality, Sustainable Cities & Communities.

With the responsible consumption and production as a common thread, wich is presented by the vertical dash.
